Meet Buster and Tchalla, my adorable cats and the main source of inspiration for space pets!
Buster is younger than his brother, but we adopted him several years before Tchalla. He is an actual miracle boy, having survived a very scary heart failure and short cat hospitalization. He remains painfully sweet, cuddly whenever it is dark or cold out, and loves to assert his dominance over his much larger brother.
Tchalla is more than twice as large as Buster - he’s slimmer down considerably since we first adopted him and he had a thyroid condition. His first owners declawed him before abandoning him, and he has a few behaviors that can terrify the unfamiliar, like a propensity to howl. While he occasionally likes his own quiet meditation time, he mostly stays glued to my side, sitting just within arms reach so he can receive almost constant head pats.
I take…a lot of pictures of them, and when I first started making edits I mainly played with my many, many photos of Buster. He’s been a part of some of my favorite photo edits, like the lamp photo below in the gallery of their previous edits. Buster in particular loves to be photographed, so he’ll hold a pose for a moment sometimes when he sees I’m paying attention to him. His brother is a bit tougher to photograph as he NEVER holds still. However, when you do get a good, clear shot, he is the most handsome little gentleman! I love to celebrate different parts of Buster and Tchalla’s personalities in my edits. I hope you can see their personality peeking through in the shots below!
